Happy NaNoWriMo!

Wow, it has been a while. In the true spirit of National Novel Writing Month-- I am already behind. I ended up moving into my new apartment a few days ago, after starting a new job a few months ago. The last few months have been incredibly busy, and my writing has taken a back seat. But not anymore! National Novel Writing Month starts in a few hours, and I am ready to go!

Well, sort of ready. I have decided this year, because apparently I think NaNoWriMo is too easy, to attempt to write two books this month. I am behind on my writing, and with a jam-packed 2019, I am trying to cram as much writing into this month as I can. I have no idea if I will be able to do two novels this month, but that is absolutely the goal.

I am usually more of a planner when it comes to NaNoWriMo. The plan usually acts as a really rough guideline for the story. In an effort to get words in, I usually make some changes or forget to consult the plan. This year, we are doing a mix of both. I have the roughest plan I have ever used for one story, and absolutely no plan for the second. Luckily, both stories are set in the same universe, so I can pull from one to help out the other, if need be.

I don't want to get too much into what I'm writing about just yet. As anyone who has done NaNoWriMo before knows, things can change very quickly, especially if you don't have an outline. That being said, I hope everyone has a super productive and relaxed National Novel Writing Month!
