Prison 456!
This blog post is coming a few days later than I would like. Prison 456 was set to release on November 30th, and while the Kindle version went out without a hitch, Amazon had some issues getting the hard copies out there. Which is disappointing to me, but it is what it is. Prison 456 went up a couple of hours late, but its out now, and that's all that matters. If you haven't gotten a copy yet, you can get one here!
I am really excited with how Prison 456 turned out. It was a story that very much so fell together as I wrote it. It has a different vibe then Prison 917, its not as dark, and it is a lot funnier. At least I think its funny.
When I wrote 917, I never thought about any of the characters outside of that setting because, like the characters, I didn't see it as a possibility. But when 917 came to an end, on a cliffhanger no less, I knew that the story wasn't over. I wasn't sure if it was still Heather's story, but there was a story there.
Seeing the characters out of 917 was a trip. Seeing how they interact, how they move, what they think, how they feel, was all very new to me. Survival was no longer their main concern, for the most part, and getting to see them in a new light really opened them up. Like I said, 456 is funnier than 917. Its has more lighthearted moments.
Being that it is so different from 917, Prison 456 does have a special place in my heart. Prison 917 was my first ever novella and my first published worked, but 456 is very special to me. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I have.
